Up, Up, and Away!

For this short animation, my group came up with a more funny and unrealistic idea that we had in mind. We got inspired by the movie UP and of course Area 51! The animation is about a young boy who went to the park and wanted to get some balloons, but the balloon guy gave him more balloons than what he wanted, making him drift up into the sky. As he goes up to the sky he sees an alien spaceship and they have abducted him! Poor guy... As for the technical aspect of this project, it was definitely more tedious than the canon ball project because we had to think about every single movement the boy made from the walking to him getting a hold of the balloons. As well as the space part of the story where we had to give the aliens some kind of character as they moved along the space to get to him as they pass by Earth. A few moments later helped very much with the transition from him in the sky to space! The animation principle we used was more towards the appealing aspect because the char

Canon Ball!

Hello, this is an animation of a canon shooting out a ball as it bounces on the wall and falls down to the floor. The creative aspect was based on my group members where we came up with different ideas that were cute and simple and decided this one was the best one. For the technical process of the animation, we had to draw out the different actions of the canon as it became bigger and then thinner to shoot out the ball. The ball was also created small and as it moved from the canon it became bigger and rounder as it came closer to the wall. For the ball to bounce we used the pencil to outline the journey of the ball so it can look realistic. We also added some sparks when the ball was shot out to make the action more dramatic and it worked out! Enjoy the clip!
